My Story
Some parts of my story feel repurposed into this beautiful source to lend a hand to someone else reaching for help. Other parts of my story are still being sorted out and I don’t have infinite wisdom to offer. In those particular moments, a safe place is created to sit with the existence of unknowns or the difficulty with long suffering. Some seasons can painstakingly take years or even be lifelong.
I have struggled with moments of doubting myself and "imposter syndrome," which can semi keep me humble. But often, it can more so make me feel like I am fulfilling a calling on a life assignment that was designated to me. It feels bigger than me regardless of whatever parts of myself fall short. It is undeniable that I have seen lives change and healing happen in my clients. It is one of the most rewarding and beautiful experiences to bear witness to and experience with a person. It's a version of tiny miracles that exist amongst our natural world. When what seemed impossible happens, and is shown to be possible. This can then spill over to many other areas in the mystery of life.
Resumé wise, I attained my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work. Directly after, I completed all of the necessary requirements to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am trained in the Gottman’s approach in working with couples. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy in treating trauma.
I keep up with my continuing education units and different trainings to maintain an active license and commit to professional growth. I have experiences practicing in different environments from community mental health centers, detention facilities, hospitals, and physician offices. I ventured into private practice to have the liberties of providing services independently from organizations’ parameters or insurance requirements.
